Scholarship Opportunities

看片软件 is once again able to award up to 26 scholarships to North Dakota educators providing them with financial support to upskill in cybersecurity fundamentals with the goal to enhance retention of educators and improve transference of vital cybersecurity skills to North Dakota students, preparing them for the future. Educators are eligible for up to two $500 scholarships.

The Apprentice Certification Exam is available after CIS 140, 141, 142, and 143 are completed.

Course Descriptions

Cybersecurity Foundation/Fundamentals: Apprentice
This course offers a comprehensive understanding of the modern cybersecurity landscape and today’s cyber threats. You’ll learn 看片软件 current attack methods, defense strategies, public Wi-Fi risks, and protection measures. You will also learn 看片软件 modern security models, focusing on perimeter-based and Zero Trust models. The course concludes with an overview of Palo Alto Networks' prevention architecture and the key capabilities required for preventing successful cyberattacks. 

Network Security Fundamentals: Apprentice
This course offers an understanding of the fundamental tenets of network security and reviews the general concepts involved in maintaining a secure network computing environment. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe general network security concepts and implement basic network security configuration techniques.

Cloud Security Fundamentals
In the Cloud Security Fundamentals course, you will learn basic principles associated with securing the cloud and SaaS-based applications through Secure Access Service Edge architecture and identify concepts required to recognize and potentially mitigate attacks against traditional and hybrid data centers as well as mission-critical infrastructure. You will also learn how to initially set up and configure containers on a docker bridge network and test the container security through the use of vulnerability scans and reports.

Security Operations Fundamentals
This course offers an understanding of Security Operations (SecOps) and the role it plays in protecting our digital way of life for businesses and customers. Students will learn continuous improvement processes to collect high-fidelity intelligence, contextual data, and automated prevention workflows that quickly identify and respond to fast-evolving threats. They will also learn how to leverage automation to reduce strain on analysts and execute the Security Operation Center (SOC) mission to identify, investigate, and mitigate threats.
